1. Project deposits and advance payments
Where an advance, booking amount, or milestone payment has been agreed, it may be allocated to project planning, scheduling, discovery, production, and other committed costs. Whether an amount is refundable will depend on the written project agreement and work already performed.
2. Client cancellation
A client may request cancellation by emailing hello@gairystudio.com. We will confirm the cancellation and calculate any amount due based on work completed, approved milestones, committed third-party costs, and the applicable project agreement.
3. Studio cancellation
If Gairy Studio cancels a project before completion for reasons within our control, we will discuss the status of completed work and any applicable refund or adjustment in accordance with the project agreement.
4. Completed work and approved milestones
Fees relating to work that has been completed, delivered, or expressly approved may not be refundable unless the project agreement or applicable law provides otherwise.
5. Third-party costs
Non-refundable third-party expenses such as licensed assets, hosting, domains, plugins, production, printing, or external vendor charges may be deducted from any refund where they were incurred with the client's approval or for the project.
6. Refund process
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned using the original payment method or another mutually agreed method. Processing time can depend on the payment provider or bank.
7. Project-specific terms
If a signed proposal, statement of work, invoice, or service agreement contains different cancellation or refund terms, those project-specific terms will apply to that project.
